Business Standard, after conversations with a marketing official form Mahindra, has divulged the release date of the much talked about Mahindra motorcycle.

The vice president, marketing, D.Shinde, affirmed that the company is working on a motorcycle to be released under Mahindra brand and will be in the market around March 2011.

The Indian motorcycle market is nearly eight million bikes a year end with this much scope to make profits, it would be impossible for mahindra to give it a miss. Mahindra is working in partnership with Italian partner Engines Engineering and Taiwan-based company Sanyang Industry Company Ltd. for developing the commuter bike.

The bike that is in news is to be produced out of its Pithampur plant near Indore that has annual capacity of 5,00,000 units.
