The new Pulsar 200 NS has been unveiled today, and price details will only be made known later in April. To be launched in April 2012, and Bajaj has christened it the Pulsar 200 NS. The bike looks nothing like its predecessor, and seems to have borrowed design cues from the KTM.
The Pulsar 200 NS engine uses three sparks tech instead of the usual two sparks on Pulsar motorcycles. A 199.5 cc engine will generate a maximum power of 23 bhp @ 9,500 rpm and will deliver a maximum torque of 18.3 Nm at 8,000 rpm. Dry weight for the new Pulsar 200 NS is 145 kgs.
With a top speed of 136 kmph, the Bajaj new Pulsar 200 NS will be one of the fastest motorcycles made by the Indian manufacturer. The new Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS goes from 0-60 kmph in just 3.8 seconds and takes 9.8 seconds to cross 0-100 kmph mark. It records mileage of 58 kmph if driven at a constant of 55 kmph. With a ground clearance of 167 mm, and Kerb Weight at 145 kgs, the bike boasts of a 12 liter fuel tank, and stands on 10 spoke 17' alloy wheels. It uses Nitrox mono-shock suspension at the rear, and a telescopic fork in front. You’re looking at disc brakes at the front and rear.
