Audi has revealed their plans of offering engine types for their soon to be released lineup of Audi A8. While US models will be fitted with 3.0T and 3.0TDI engines which is already seen in A8s around the world. The 2013 model will be fitted with a supercharged 3.0 liter V6 engine offering 333 hp and 325 lb/ft torque. Audi has confirmed that this engine will be fitted to all standard and long wheelbase versions of the new A8 models.

The company has also disclosed that 3.0 liter turbocharged gas engines will be coming in next along side by side with the supercharged engines and buyers will also see the new 3.0 liter turbocharged diesel engine in US markets. Since auto emission norms vary from US to Europe it is still unclear as to what final numbers will offer. Audi however has declined from making any statements on US fuel economy or pricing as on date.
