Mr. Laxmi Mittal Chairman of ArcelorMittal and one of the world’s most successful steel magnates was at the Delhi Auto Show 2012. He expressed his satisfaction at the vehicles on display and hoped that the auto industry would bring out more environmentally friendly vehicles in the future besides more affordable cars and cars with enhanced safety features.

While speaking to reporters at the Delhi Auto Show at Pragati Maidan, Mittal stated that the cars on display made an impression on him. He was concerned though about the future of the country and had hoped to see more cars built for the future to have cleaner and safer features.

As leader of a steel conglomerate, Mittal said that his company was constantly striving to bring out better quality steel of lighter and stronger quality. This would help in reducing CO2 emissions which in turn would contribute to a cleaner and safer environment. This if used in manufacture of cars would benefit environment and the auto industry to a great extent.
