A new bike park called Lordship Loop was declared open on Saturday at Tottenham’s Recreation Grounds, making it the first such bike track in London. The trail is 391meters long and mountain bikes and BMX can comfortably use the tracks which have a series of jumps, twists and turns made of recycled earth.

Mr. Daniel Mintz, Chairman of The Trax Off-road Cycling Club was in charge of the project and said that this sort of track was what the youth of Tottenham were most eager for.

Launch of these tracks brought in a new era of off road biking experience and was seen to encourage young riders in an urban surrounding.  The track took months to complete and Lordship Recreation Grounds were closed to public in most of the summer months while the track was in progress.The tracks will be used by both young and old and the club will conduct coaching classes with additional bike maintenance courses.  It will be seen as a way to encourage biking, besides improving health and fitness and a sense of community among the residents of Tottenham.
