MRF Tyres involved in the manufacture rubber tyres is about to bring out a new range of premium car tyres specially suited for Audi and BMW vehicles in India. At present their tubeless radial tyres are fitted on more than 35 models of both Indian and imported vehicles and has reached a sales figure of Rs 10,000 crores.

These tyres built with new technology would incorporate the use of a polymer compound with a stable ring construction which would ensure more stability and optimum safety while driving at high speed. Mr. Koshy K Varghese, Executive Vice President – Marketing at MRF Tyres said that these tyres would appeal to customers who are looking out for both safety and strength.

The company is also setting up a new plant at Tamil Nadu and has invested an amount of Rs.800 crores in this venture. To help offset the high cost of raw material, MRF Tyres is also looking out for acquisition of rubber companies or rubber plantations overseas. Koshy said that they have not yet finalized any plans but are still on the lookout for such tie-ups.
