Hyundai has been contemplating the launch of a small car to compete with competitors Maruti Alto. This has been in the offing for some time now and seems to be finally near completion. The company is expecting to launch this vehicle in November this year. Till date Maruti Alto was the undisputed chief in the small car segment and had reached record sales.

With Hyundai now bringing in this small car, it will be smallest that the Korean company has ever manufactured. This car is expected to have an engine of 800 cc and will be called H800. Mr. Arvind Saxena, Director of Sales and Marketing of Hyundai Motors said that this small car is expected to be priced below Hyundai Santro will be launched globally and has been developed in Korea and manufactured at the company’s Chennai unit.

Expected to give Maruti Suzuki tough competition, the H800 from Hyundai is something all small car lovers will be looking forward to.
