With various auto manufacturers all coming out with small compact cars, can Mahindra & Mahindra be far behind.  They are about to launch their version of a Mini Xylo.

Expected to get underway in coming two months, this vehicle will set forth from company’s Chakan unit. Diesel run and a good thing at that considering the ever rising petrol prices, the Xlyo Mini will come at a price of Rs.5 lakhs.

Connoisseurs opine that diesel run SUV would be a fore runner in its category due to fuel efficiency.

Mr. Sandeep Kumar Bafna, Chairman of ‘Automotive Dealers Association of Maharashtra’ said that Mini SUV in this price range of Rs.5 to 7 lakhs would be an ideal choice for not only office goers but holiday goers as well. All present SUVs available in the market are in the price range of Rs.18 lakhs which out of reach of most customers.

Mahindra & Mahindra have recently acquired Ssangyong will be bringing out cars like Korando and Rexton later this year.
