Hero Motorcycles

India’s largest 2 wheeler manufacturer, Hero Motorcycles, who recently broke its 26 year long relationship with Honda Motors, has once again shown that it is better off alone. Selling 4,72,055 units in February 2011 compared to 3,82,096 units sold in February 2010, Hero Motorcycles registered 23.54% increase in sales figures.

Bajaj Auto

Sold 2,86,657 units in February 2011 compared to 2,34,623 units sold in February 2010. India’s 2nd largest motorbike manufacturer registered growth rate of 22.18%.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI)

Japanese manufacturer, HMSI, a completely owned subsidiary of Honda Motors, Japan registered a 19% growth in February 2011 compared to February 2010. HMSI sold 1,45,819 units last month compared to 1,22,261 units sold in February 2010.

TVS Motorcycles

•    Sold 1,73,200 units
•    Up from 1,40,544 sold in February 2010
•    Growth rate – 23%

Yamaha India

•    Sold 23,384 units
•    Up from 17,131 sold in February 2010
•    Growth rate – 37%

Suzuki Motorcycles India

•    Sold 28,738 units
•    Up from 23,016 sold in February 2010
•    Growth rate – 25%
