Ducati recently announced the 848 EVO, an upgraded version of the earlier EVO. The bike is at its lovely best with matt black finish, but there is more to it than mere cosmetic changes.
The new upgraded version now produces 140 bhp that is six bhp more than the 848. There are some changes to the mechanical parts as well such as cylinder heads, pistons, throttle bodies and camshafts.
All the braking technology now used is done by all new single-piece Brembo Monobloc calipers for that extra bite for those emergency situations. There is a cross mounted steering stabilizer. Ducati also claims that all these upgrades are based on the learning they get from the racetrack and feedback from customers.
The new bike is termed as 2011 model of 848 and will reach North America showrooms by August. And, the most marvelous thing that Ducati has decided is that it will now be increasing the price of the bike after the upgrade for the black color version.
