HD02 Hyderabad gets a Harley Davidson dealership

The base model of the Harley range in India, that’s the 883cc Sportster is priced at Rs 7 lakh ex-showroom. The top-end model from the brand retails for a sky-high Rs 37 lakh. The new showroom also has a nice display of Harley-Davidson merchandise. So those who cannot afford H-D motorcycles can buy some branded stuff from the store to quench their fetish to associate themselves with the legendary American brand.

“We will launch our bikes in other cities before the end of this year,” said Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India after the outlet was formally inaugurated by Telugu Film star N T Ramarao.

The market for such premium bikes in India hovers around 700 units per year. How much of it Harley-Davidson manages to lap up would be an interesting thing to see.
